Performance Evaluation of a Hybrid Photovoltaic/Thermoelectric Generator System under Non-Tracking and Tracking Condition

In this study, the performance of thermoelectric generator (TEG) modules in converting excess photovoltaic (PV) temperature to electricity a hybrid photovoltaic/thermoelectric (PV/TEG) system is investigated. A one-dimensional analytical heat transfer model for PV/TEG with pin-fin based sink developed Engineering Equation Solver (EES) and simulated under tracking non-tracking conditions. The solar irradiance collected by conditions was calculated using Solar Emulator tool via TracePro software. effect varying radiation number TEGs on PV temperature, output, TEG output evaluated March 15, 2020, Jalan Taylor’s, Malaysia (3.0626° N, 101.6168° E). Finally, optimum required maximum power investigated discussed. net P obtained 336, 339, 341 no-tracking, single-axis, dual-axis conditions, respectively.
